Meet Dr. Travis Nash

Dr. Nash’s journey has taken him from the South to the Midwest to the Mid-Atlantic and finally to Charleston.

After graduating from college in Arkansas, Dr. Nash attended the University of Missouri—Kansas City for dental school and his orthodontic residency. Before coming to South Carolina, he served in the U.S. Navy as the Orthodontics Department Head, Norfolk, Virginia.

An esteemed member of the orthodontic community, Dr. Nash graduated “with distinction.” He has obtained numerous academic and military awards. He is also an active member of the American Dental Association, the South Carolina Association of Orthodontists, and the American Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Nash and his wife, Allison, have three adult children, one daughter-in-law, and a new grandson. The Nash’s are active in the community and enjoy spending time outdoors. Their hobbies include hiking and playing at the beach.

Meet Dr. Jansen Nash

I am beyond excited to be a part of the Nash Orthodontics team.
I feel lucky to have grown up in Mt. Pleasant, and it is a dream to return home to practice orthodontics. It is special working with kids attending the same schools that I did.

Maybe most people always knew what they wanted to be when they grew up, but not me! In fact, I was an engineer first, and dentist and orthodontist second. I studied Industrial Engineering at Clemson (Go Tigers!) and worked for Boeing in Charleston. After Boeing, I attended MUSC for dental school and then completed orthodontic residency at the University of Louisville.

Some of my favorite stories to tell include: meeting my adventurous wife McKenzie, how being a summer camp counselor taught me to not take myself too seriously, and watching dentistry change lives both in the states and on international dental mission teams. My family loves to laugh about me visiting the ER more times overseas than in the US.

I am thrilled to be a part of Nash Orthodontics and serve my hometown community. I can't wait to meet you and create a beautiful smile!
